Bradoon

Bradoons Bradoons - The bradoon is a bit to be used in conjunction with a dressage curb bit for the double bridle tack. Are you going to ride with double bridle, then you will also need a double bridle, these can be found in our category bridles. Which bradoon suits my horse? The choice which bradoon is best for your horse depends on the experience you have with riding with an ordinary snaffle. The bradoon and/or loose ring snaffle is very similar to the ordinary eggbutt snaffle or loose ring snaffle, but is often in a thinner version with smaller bit rings. Obviously, in terms of material, the bradoon has to be adapted to the dressage curb bit you will use. The Kroo Ruitersport also has a large choice of dressage curb bits What size should I choose with dressage curb bits and bradoons? It is usual to choose the size of the dressage curb bit that you also use with your horse with the ordinary snaffle. An eggbutt snaffle size 12.5 will require a dressage curb bit in size 12.5. The most common is to then choose a bradoon that is just slightly wider. In this case, size 13 would be a good combination. It is wise to make your choice of double bridle tack with your instructor or other expert guidance. Of course you can use the contact page for emailing our Customer Service with questions. Our instructors will answer your question.
