BUY AN ALL PURPOSE SADDLE
Are you a rider who actually enjoys everything as long as you are on the horse? Then an all purpose saddle is for you. If, in addition to dressage, you also like jumping and riding outdoors, it is often not feasible to buy a separate saddle for each part. By choosing a all purpose saddle, you can be sure that you almost never have to change saddles. The all purpose saddle is made in such a way that you can make simple jumps with it in the arena, but that you can also go for dressage without having to ride on a different saddle. So you can ride a very nice varied training where you only need one saddle!
In addition to dressage saddles and jumping saddles, De Kroo also has versatile saddles in the shop. The versatile saddles that we sell are from the Norton brand. The advantage of these saddles is that they are equipped with an interchangeable (tree) kopijzer system so that you can adjust the saddles to your horse.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SADDLES?
The flaps of a multi-purpose saddle are slightly further forward than with a dressage saddle. With a jumping saddle, these flaps are placed even further forward. A versatile saddle is therefore actually exactly in between the other two saddles. This saddle is therefore less suitable if you mainly ride dressage and at the same time is not made for high jumps. As a recreational rider, however, you are fine with a versatile saddle. The saddle is comfortable for the rider as well as for the horse, provided the versatile saddle has the right size, of course. Do you have questions about which saddle suits you and your horse best? Feel free to contact us and we will be happy to help you with personal advice.
