PRODUCT INFORMATION
Description:
The Apple Mouth bit has a synthetic mouthpiece that gives off a subtle apple flavour when in contact with saliva. This stimulates the horse to produce more saliva, making it easier for the horse to accept the bit. At 15 mm, the mouthpiece is relatively narrow, making it well suited for horses that have less space in the mouth.
Product features:
This single jointed full cheek snaffle has a synthetic mouthpiece with a metal core and stainless steel rings. Thanks to the combination of flexible plastic and high-quality stainless steel, the bits are stable, yet particularly soft and friendly. The plastic has a hardness of 90a and is FDA approved. This means that the material is free of solvents, contains no plasticisers and is also non-toxic. The anatomical design follows the shape of the horse's mouth, creating a gentle and even pressure distribution.
The main purpose of a full cheek bit is to exert lateral pressure, this emphasis on the turning aids is especially useful for young horses. The arms of the bit prevent the bit from being pulled through the mouth. These properties make this bit a good choice for young horses. Keepers, also known as Fulmer loops, attached to the upper arms, help stabilize the bit and offer a slight leverage action. This type of bit has a calm and stable position in the mouth and has a sharper effect.
