Immune system
Developing a strong immune system is hugely important for newborn foals. When a foal is born, its immune system is still incomplete and needs to develop.  Colostrum contains antibodies that are crucial in building this immune system. A foal's intestinal barrier is only open in the first 24 hours after birth. This allows antibodies to be absorbed into the blood and thus not just locally in the intestines. Therefore, it is essential for a foal to ingest colostrum within a few hours of birth.
Administering natural colostrum powder can support during the primary immunisation of foals. The colostrum powder in this paste provides a high variety of antibodies.
