Unika Balls: a healthy hobby for your horses. Linea Unika has designed an innovative product, which completely changes and renews the conception of complementary food: It's called Unika Balls and it's much more than a hobby for your horses. Unika Balls are balls which, thanks to their natural fibre ropes, can be attached to the stall or truck so that the horses can taste them during the day. Their function is not only to entertain the horses: Unika Balls actually enrich their daily diet with important substances such as herbs, electrolytes, vitamins, minerals and many others. And this in a completely new way! We usually think of complementary feeds as powdered or liquid products to be mixed into the daily ration directly into the feed trough, but Unika Balls turn this concept on its head and are a kind of suspended complementary feed! It has been formulated to add mineral salts to your horse's diet. Mineral supplementation is necessary throughout the year to replenish the mineral salts that horses lose through sweating. Unika Balls are handmade, produced in Italy, completely free of sugar cereals and rich in high quality raw materials such as soy and rice. Unika Balls are suitable for grain intolerant horses, for horses on a low glycaemic index diet and for sport horses whose muscles are subject to high levels of exertion and whose diets should not include sugars as this would increase lactic acid production.
