Sprenger has developed its special know-how of the anatomy of the horse's mouth in cooperation with the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hanover. In the Sprenger research centre they are constantly working on innovative products in order to further optimise the design and effectiveness of bits and spurs. Examples of special developments are the Sensogan material and, for example, the KK Ultra and Dynamic RS bit series.
SPRENGER SENSOGAN BITS
Sensogan is the newest material from Sprenger and the improved successor to Aurigan and Argentan. Sensogan bits consist of copper, manganese and zinc. Manganese is a substance that repairs and builds muscles, reduces stress and breaks down histamine. Histamine is in short a substance that horses produce themselves and of which an excess can cause allergic reactions.
The advantages of a Sensogan bit:
-Dosed oxidation
-Very good acceptance
-Subtle fine connection between rider and horse
-Stimulates salivation
-Non-toxic
-Less copper and therefore healthier for the horse
-Contains manganese which has very favourable effects on the horse
Sprenger offers different types of bits, e.g. KK Ultra, Dynamic RS, Novocontact, Max Control.
SPRENGER SPURS
Sprenger spurs are made of high-quality stainless steel and are guaranteed not to break. The fastening for the spur straps has been elegantly and innovatively developed in collaboration with Klaus Balkenhol. This keeps the spurs perfectly in place and gives them a very good fit. The ultragrip rubber coating, which is also possible on Sprenger spurs, improves the fit and also protects the boot. The ultragrip also reduces the pressure, making it much more pleasant to walk with a Sprenger Ultra Grip spur.
New to the Sprenger range are the Fair Rider spurs, which are effective and yet also fair to the horse. The advantages of a Fair Rider spur are as follows:
-Round flattened, makes giving precise and clear aids possible.
-Ideal for young or sensitive horses to get used to riding with spurs
-soft for the skin and coat through the larger and smoother contact surface
-For horses that are sensitive to legs and spurs
-for sensitive horses that do not react well to normal spurs
-Aluminium with a curved plastic neck
-light and comfortable to wear
